— Paolo Bacigalupi
My name is Fátima Alvarenga, or call me Ti.
I started Santi after a trip to my mother’s village, Santiago de María. I found myself thinking a lot about the people around me. There was a sense of connection, these were people from the same place my family comes from, but I also noticed how much tension they seemed to carry in their bodies.
It made me think about who gets access to practices like yoga in the first place. In my ideal world, people everywhere, even in small villages like Santiago de María, have access to connection and transformation.
When we practice together, expect:
An untrampled scorpion
bothers no one
fun, flowy + intelligently sequenced classes, with music that has soul
options, autonomy + rest. from beginner to seasoned, no pressure
dharma talks grounded in modern language, lived experience + yoga philosophy
thoughtful cueing, meditation & Sanskrit as I continue to learn
a real human being with a personal practice, teachers of my own + plenty of empathy
I’d love to chat…

Most yoga communities speak to those already in the bubble. We speak to the ones outside of it: tired, disconnected, searching ~ who may not even have words for what they’re feeling.
At santi, we don’t care how you look or perform. This is for anyone who craves more from their practice. For anyone who feels out of place in polished studios but knows their soul is sacred. For those who didn’t grow up with yoga, but feel pulled toward something deeper.
It takes a village
With love from
Santiago de Maria
